After obtaining her undergraduate degree, Ms. Gibbons worked as a teacher for a couple of years before returning to Ole Miss to obtain her law degree.

Ms. Gibbons served as a clerk for the Fifth District Appellate Court in Mt. Vernon, Ill., where she gained extensive appellate practice experience. From there, she worked as an appellate attorney in the southern Illinois area, primarily handling appeals of complex Jones Act, FELA and products liability cases.

Since coming to Brown & James, Ms. Gibbons has focused her practice on medical malpractice and toxic tort cases. She has also handled transportation, premises liability and first-party insurance disputes. In addition to obtaining favorable jury verdicts for clients, Ms. Gibbons has also handled contract negotiations and disputes including working on bond deals for the new stadium of the St. Louis Cardinals.
