Workers Compensation
The Workers' Compensation Practice Group represents employers by way of their insurance carriers and employers as self-insured entities. Our lawyers provide our clients with estimates of exposure for the purpose of establishing reserves and allotting resources in a manner consistent with need. We make recommendations for the swift and successful resolution of claims where possible and the strong defense of cases where trial is necessary.
We regularly appear before the Division of Workers' Compensation throughout the State of Missouri, mainly in the areas of St. Louis and St. Charles where the vast majority of represented cases arise. We also have an office in Springfield, Missouri where we can offer the assistance of our colleagues in a joint representation that reduces legal expenses for representation in those areas.
We also appear before the Illinois Industrial Commission in a number of dockets in Southern Illinois. We most commonly appear at the dockets at Belleville, Collinsville, Litchfield, Carlinville, Carlyle, Mt. Vernon, Whittington, Herrin-Marion and often can offer appearances at other dockets when requested by clients.
Our lawyers serve on many committees and are frequent contributors to seminars and journals as speakers and authors. They are also active in the Missouri Bar and the American Law Firm Association (ALFA).
